yes you can,i have it with asv head...how hard/easy is to install depends on which car is the engine coming from...if sharan it's hard to install ,if golf is easier to install

You just need to change the crank position sensor trigger wheel inside the engine to a VP one...

that's the part number of the cylinderhead you need to find out the part number for the engine block. But if you say is from ford most likely is the same as on sharan and it's hard to install you need to make a modification on the timing belt.

Sorry i didn't find the bottom part number, but i know now that it's an AUY engine from a ford galaxy.

is there any how to, or information about the modification that must be done?

i've been searching about the AUY engine, and i found that it's a 115ps and 310nm.

before to mount it into the car, i want to know if this engine has the same engine internals as ASZ and ARL, because i want to reach 200cv safely

Hey Zak3, check with AtomicSushi, he has a PD block and VP head and VNT20 in his Golf IV. I know it's running well, I've seen the transformation.

That engine has insignificant differences to your old AGR bottom end. Not the same as ARL/ASZ. Not that you would need ARL for safe 200hp. The AGR can do that and then some.

Thanks for these informations!

knowing that i have an AGR engine with 260000km on it, it consume approx 1 liter of oil every 3000km and has a hard starting issue.
i want to reach safe 200whp with a gt2256 from mercedes. so what do you suggest me:
- rebuild my AGR with bigger piston
- get an ARL/ASZ bottom end and use a vp ported head with it

From what i read about this so far, it's possible and fit, but requires more work because its a longitunal engine, in this case the AWX. Its easier with ARL/ASZ/BLT..

I'am also interested in this info if anyone can clarify the process and assembly of the parts from the 2 engines.

Head of ALH fit on AWX block.
The main issue is the timing belt installation.

ALH Timing belt

AWX Timing belt

Problem might be with the recovery of the water pump..

Installation of the fuel pump does not cause any problems.

Thats my main question also, whats need to be swaped from the vp to match the pd block.
Dont remember where, but i read in other thread that need to swap the crank sensor plate and the front crank seal housing from the VP.

AWX block with ALH timming belt protector.
It was no problem.
Is designed for sites where AWX screw retractors.

Nice work, how did you solve the timing belt problem? Did you use the ALH parts?
