Default UPDATED, READ ME NOW--how to know if you are a Vendor?

Please note the creation of the new " Vendor & GroupBuy items for sale section. Posts of this nature have been moved from the past week and yes there are a lot of them.

Also worth noting the TDI Vendors page with links of different vendors selling TDI related products.

Lately there have been several people selling Tdi parts here on a non-casual basis, such as selling repeat items in high volumes.

That makes you a VENDOR. Don't bend the rules. If you are selling parts which did not come off of your OWN personal vehicle, or a truly casual clearance of a few odds-and-ends, you are acting as a VENDOR, per our definitions, and you must submit a vendor application.

Definition of a "few odds-n-ends": no more than ten or so.

I'm going to start issuing temporary bans and clearing threads if people keep trying to bend the rules.

TL/DR: Non-casual sellers MUST register. No exceptions.

Does a part out make you a vendor? I wrecked my personal tdi...I would like to part it out here. Tere will be quite a few items in a short period of time. More than 10 or so, undoubtedly.

If it's your own personal car (titled to you), no. But please don't make threads for each item! Part out the whole car in one thread.

Update: finding more people who think rules just *don't* apply to them

Bans issued.

Stealth vending is NOT cool. There are no excuses. Register. Post in the vendor's section. Do it. Or you're gone.

Sunday update:

Finding 2 kinds of stealth vendors:

1.) Those who are apparently running some kinds of junkyard operations trying to move Tdi parts.

2.) shop owners or employees moving new or used parts through here.

I have VERY little patience for you. You have to willfully ignore the blazing announcements and stickies to continue your stealth vending. "I didn't know" is totally worthless BS.

DON'T BE A STEALTH VENDOR.

jblue, to add to this: if it's the 3rd part-out and all your posts are transactional here at tdiclub....bye bye, stealth vendor!

No worries. I don't mind becoming a vendor. Kinda gives you some more credibility anyway. It is a single part out. One vehicle but I am going to go ahead and register so people will "buy with confidence" as I AM a good reputable seller. Might as well advertise it.

Report suspected stealth vending. There is now a board-powered infraction system in place for repeat offenders.

Everyone deserves to know when they're dealing with a commercial entity on the other side of a transaction.

Thanks!

You can quote the original FS post (as a link, or as a quote) and do weekly bumps to your own thread. It's often helpful to show your remaining stock. Location helps too.

If you bump your thread periodically, please delete your old bumps... It makes your thread easier to follow.

I have a suggestion that I wish I made years ago, if you have sold your item(s) please do not bump the thread by saying "sold"...just edit the original post and let it die
