hi, I've been working on converting my 03 beetle auto convertible over to a tdi standard.
the donor is an 01 alh beetle and a couple other beetles for misc parts.
i changed the engine bay harnesses, throttle pedal, shifter, clutch pedal, fuel tank and brought the ecm,ignition/key and cluster along for imobilizer reasons.
the part that bogged me down was those damn plugs under the left dash cover. ive been trying to match things up but colours vary
can someone point me in the direction of how to match them up
thx

Have to match point for point. Ecm ## to blue ##. Find the ecm## and see where it goes. Then find the other end cluster ## to blue ## and match them there.

Thx for that
Been working on it and realized it really wasn’t as bad as it looked.
Started the tdi this morning, and sounds great
Just need to sort the cruise out

And a cotter pin works great for unlocking the wire ends

My speedo isn’t working so I’m trying to sort pins out for that
Holding it will help with the cruise
I pinned the vss to the orange plug but there must be something else
When you remove the engine harnesses (2)you replace with tdi harness but there is one grey plug that is left over
I’m sure there’s wires in there but my diagrams don’t show any

Thx I found that post and it was very helpful
Got speedo working...you need to run a separate wire to the cluster from terminal 2 from the connector from beside the ecm

Still can’t get the cruise to power up though
