OBD2 connector question...

I have VWtool and a cable for my 1998 passat, however, my wife and I just bought a 2002 Golf TDi. Does anyone know if the new 2002 VW's still use single k-wire cables, or is it a dual k-line already? I know there's been talk of that recently... Just trying to figure out if I can use my older tool on the Golf too.

Single K-line. The only cars that have a dual k line are the 2002+ audi A4 and A6, and not all of these have it. Even the Phaeton is single k-line

Thanks, Eric. I've heard rumors that VW was going to eventually move to dual k-line, but wasn't sure when. Thanks for the info.
