So I replaced my wiper linkage today and when trying to put the middle bolt in, it just wouldn't go. It looks like the nut that is welded underneath the metal arm that it is supposed to go into is stripped.

Right now, I currently have two zip-ties holding it in place along with the two outer bolts. Everything seems to be working fine but I would like to fix this if there is an easy enough solution.

So how would I go about fixing this? Is there a part number for the strip of metal that the linkage connects to? It looks like it's removable. I was also thinking about just getting a thin bolt that is longer, an appropriate washer and just passing the bolt through the stripped nut. Any ideas?

In this picture that I appreciatively took from wingnuts wiper linkage thread, it is the middle bolt circled in yellow.
