My 2004 Automatic has been having a weird issue where it shakes violently when in reverse, bu only when it is hot outside (80+ or so) and after the car has been running for a while.
If its been parked in the heat, theres no problem. It never happens in the winter months.
At first I was assuming the transmission reverse gear was going out, but then I realized that if that was the case, then it would experience the shaking all of the time.
So now im thinking it could be some sort of sensor or gear range control module or something that could be affected by the heat.
If anyone has any ideas, that would be much appreciated. I would love to figure out the issue.
Thanks!
