I have read here that you can substitute the N18 in place of the N75 valve to see if the N75 is working properly.
Question is can you replace the N75 with the N18. They look the same except the N75 has a white top.

N18, EGR Converter selonoid, Part # 1J0 906 627

N75, Boost regulator selonoid, Part # 1J0 906 627 A

Will I get in trouble or do damage by replacing the N75 with the N18?

I ordered the N18 thinking I was ordering a N75, but don't want to install it if it will not do the job properly.

Thanks for your advice.

I was esperiancing some symptoms with my car which led me to swap the two valves for troubleshooting, which did solve my problem... so far I have had no issues with the n18 valve in the n75 spot, and the n75 in the n18 spot.
