I got a new vacuum reservoir for my 2003 Jetta TDI. The old one had the plastic nipple break off on the hose. Is it as simple as unbolting the old one and bolting the new one on or is anything special or additional needed? Thanks!!

Some things are simple. :)
We can make a major project out of this if you want. :D
Check for the old piece of nipple in the hose or better replace at least that hose.
I replaced all my small vacuum hoses twice already, the 2nd time earlier last year.
Change them one at a time to avoid mix ups.

Thanks for the laugh!:D

I just installed a new MAF in my car. Took pleasure in the fact that there's not a lot of 5 minute jobs/repairs (that have a significant impact).
