Requirement to plate 00 TDI in Westchester NY

What's the current regulations to plate my 2000 TDI in Westchester NY? Are there emmission tests? Or just a safety inspection? Thanks.

Auto diesels are exempt from emissions test in NYS. The inspection sticker says Exempt on it. Only the safety inspection. As long as it is not new you can register it.

I forgot - you pay less for inspection than you normally would because it is exempt from the emissions testing.
