Hi.

The car is a Skoda Fabia mk2 from 2007 1.9TDI with aircondition.

Last week I got my blower engine replaced.

A few days later I found that the direction knob on the heater system wasn't working.
Furthermore no air is pushed through the center console vents and the side-to-side manually adjustment is stuck.

Everything else is working fine.

It seems that the air is distributed equally between the wind shield and cabin vents regardless of the air vent direction setting.

I did not notice this before the blower engine replacement, so the problem might not be related.

I called the mechanic who did the blower replacement and he was able to do the replacement without having to disassemble the center console.

Any ideas/thoughts on what might cause the problem?

****update

The problem is resolved.

In case anyone is having the same problem I will just describe the debugging and solution.

1. OBD2 readout -- no fault codes, so I figured it could be a mechanical issue.
2. Removed the center fans and once I tried to move the fan vent cable it felt loose it the other end.
3. Removed the pollen filter and the cable was somehow disconnected -- managed to attach it with a screwdriver.
4. Hurra
