No start after battery disconnected

Okay its a little more involved than just the battery disconnected as this 2006 Jetta DSG TDI car was in a frontal collision and I am at a point where I am trying to start this car.

1. It cranks and cranks but it doesn't start.
2. We have a new air bag module but I don't know how to code it with our VAG and therefore it is not installed yet. The car had deployed its drivers air bag.
3. I believe it has fuel in the head and the air is out, but I don't know if there is a specific bleed procedure.
4. The wiring harness for the engine is new but I don't see that being an issue.
5. The engine was out of the car at one time.

Please help

These cars have electric fuel pumps in the tanks, and most cars with them have a cutoff in the event of a collision so fuel won't continue to be pumped out of a ruptured line. Could be a cause? There was a post about the pump failing, and the car wouldn't start.

Thanks for the suggestion but we do in fact have fuel pump prime.

We believe the problem has something to do with a generic procedure of sorts that may need to be performed to get the car to start again. Something electronic perhaps a reset procedure with the vag?
