You're going to have immobilizer and probably other issues to deal with if you try and swap in another ECU. I think a better option would be to work with a tuner to load the non-fixed tune onto your ECU. Rocketchip did that for me on my GSW: used the pre-fix setup as a base tune and then improved it from there.
