blown engine??

Hey there all, if anybody remembers my earlier post abuot my jetta "running away" the results are in and they say I hatched the bottom end of the motor, right now I am about to puke in the corner or jump off of a bridge, I am yet to decide, does anybody know where I can find parts to fix/motor in SW MI area????? any help will be great.

Bummer, bro. I know how you feel. I jsut got a call this afternoon form my wife saying the car wont start and on the way over my mind latched onto the oil leak and when was the last time I checked the level. Fortunetly, it is a starting motor.

But for you I would recomend a machine shop if not a replacement. Yes they are expensive, but even for the 96 wagon I was ready to do it if need be and it has 146k and is a salvage title. These cars are just too good to junk.

When you can, take moment to step back and asses the car overall - disregard the engine right now. Then see if its worth it to you to keep.
