AVD Performance Turbos (Turbo Upgrade.com)

Hi Guys,

Has anyone used a turbo produced by AVD performance based in Romania? I have been in contact with them and they seems knowledgeable and friendly, they also seem to be one of a limited number of people who can supply a VKLR 2260 with a bigger turbine 49/51.

Avd are serious and work well on BB turbines , that same turbine but on journal bearings just did 418hp and 750Nm on a 2.0 PD , street diesel class, 12.1s / 402m , 11.6s on a lighter car always 2.0 pd
So it's a good choice for sure.

What size of compressor wheel did that car run to get the 418bhp?

Wonder what the same turbo would do on a 3.0L :-D

Same turbo on 3.0 engine with 65mm wheel did 426 or 428hp/850Nm, Hatemi here on the forum did this 3l engine.

GTB2365 wass the turbine for 418hp, made by avd with their custom 65mm 7+7 wheel

Peak torque at nearly 4000 RPM? In a 3.0? No thanks, I'd rather drive a gasser then - not!

That dyno looks to be on a 2.0l man, would expect earlier power in the 3.0 application

The dyno is on a 2.0 liter.
