As title says. How much whp are people doing with stock bottom end? I’m pretty sure they have fractured cap rods.

they do
and some very nice looking pistons
only got a shortblock someone siezed, so no input from me other than that the hard parts look very nice

I figured lol think they would last at 250-280 for a year? I’m trying to avoid tearing into it till steel pistons come out.

I don't think that would be a problem. You could always limit the torque to around 375-400 lb-ft to keep cylinder pressures reasonably safe.

Hmm I was just gonna put studs and springs in it. But I guess I’ll leave it stock till next year.

I don't think you'll see 280 whp with the stock valve springs. Probably not even 250 whp.

That's awesome! Especially on a Mustang dyno. You should post up a pic of the dyno plot. I'd love too see where a 2260 cjaa makes it power.

That's a beautiful thing. Max power at 4850 rpm! The torque on my cr170 mustang plot starts falling off at 2400, and max power at 3860. Maybe it's time to break the piggy bank and buy a gtb kit.

She pulls hard all the way to redline. Could use a little dialing in yet. Will be updating the DSG tune to up clamping pressure and bump the shift points up a bit before trying for more power.
Really excited to get the head in order. So far as I know, I have the first Colt stage 3 cams in existence for CR TDI's.
Hoping to crack 300hp. I think it can be done. Jamie Bridges made 394hp with a stock bottom end.

Unfortunately no proof of performance from uk on that 394hp.
