Hello to the group.
I'm currently dealing with a 'no crank no start " situation.
Have battery power, all lights and accessories turn on.
I bridged the clutch position sensor ...it was suspect.
At a complete lost at this point....any suggestions on diagnosis would be greatly appreciated.

first check ground cable for corrosion. Just because you have lights does not mean the ground is good.

You can easily check or eliminate this by using just the ground side of a set of jumper cables from the negative battery terminal to the block.
I would pull the small wire from the starter and check for power with a test light, it should have power with the key turned to start.
If the block has a ground and the small wire has power with the key turned to start you pretty much need a starter.

That's a good trick Metal Man. Just make sure your jumper cable is up to it. I had a crappy one that couldn't even jump a tdi. Bought one of those small battery packs, worked like a charm.
