Still new, and asking random questions, here is another

I've been reading a lot on here, trying to learn more about my car. I've come across a few interesting things such as ventectomy. Am I able to do this on my mk6? Is it worth it? And are there any problems with doing it?

Ventectomy is for Mk IVs.
