PD140 question

I ordered a PD140/gtb1749 from Darkside, in the UK. I know the PD140 is a drop in replacement, but I was wondering, with the bigger compressor wheel, the intake port on the turbo must be larger, so how does the stock intake mate up to the pd140 turbo?

Plug and play. The housing outer diameters for the inlets and outlets are identical.

Are you going to get a tune or just go with stock?

hey N.CaTDI, can you run a pd140 off of a stage 2 tune or do i need like a stage 3 or 4?

Do not know some say you need the tune other say no. Also VNT may need to be tuned out I think. I have not done this but may if my turbo goes out. Currently with 220K miles and still working ok.

Have your tuner modify the tune for the turbo. The turbo still has VNT, it just doesn't use the smart actuator. The tuner can disable the CEL that'll accompany the lack of a smart actuator.
