Does anyone know of a reputable VW diesel mechanic in Richmond, VA?

I'm having some trouble with my car. It died as I was pulling into the driveway. The fuel gauge was reading incorrectly at full. Once we discovered this, we added about 3 gallons of diesel and a little bit of SAE 5W-30 oil because the oil was low. The car still won't start.

I don't want to take it to the dealer because they took me for over $600 the last time I brought it there. I'm fairly new to the area so I don't have any references.

Thanks!

Don't know anything about Richmond. Was the fuel gage Way Off - or just a bit? Did you run out of fuel?

If there was fuel still in the tank, I'd guess a relay 109.

Any Richmond VA TDI'ers around?
