My 2002 Jetta has no power at the 'in cabin' 12 volt power outlet. The manual made it sound like its on the same fuse as the radio. The radio works. Also, the 'in trunk' power outlet also works.

Does anyone know what fuse this is or what else is on the same circuit? I'm assuming that if its not a fuse I'll end up pulling the dash apart and that doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

__. You could do what I did -- take the penny that had fallen into the socket out, then change the fuse. (Seriously, there are lots of little things that can be affecting this. Have a good look at the socket - and on some cars, you can see the back side of the socket and thus the wiring connections by taking out the ashtray; these connections often get knocked off or loosened. But i'm guessing a fuse.)

Hey, I didn't think about taking out the ashtray. Thanks for the heads up on that.
