Very well done, by Joe Beatty.
Examines the chemistry of common VO fueled systems such as oxidation.

For those w/o the time, it warns NOT to use diesel fuel additives with VO.

And it has the now famous picture of polymerized crankcase oil.

Unrelated, but of interest, the top of the 'leader board' for SVO fueled TDI's on fmso.de.
All 3 have gone 100,000+ miles on SVO.

FWIW, here are the profiles of 3 TDI's one PD and two VE's that have gone 100,000+ miles on SVO.

2 are Elsbett conversions. POL is short for "plant oil"

More importantly, it warns not to use copper anywhere in the system as well. Seems most WVO kit makers are replacing copper heat exchanger coils with aluminum.

They are trying to bring the antioxidant/metal deactivator additive to market for the average user. Right now they seem to exist but only in large quantities for industrial purposes.

I re-read this article and it also has some homebrew bd info too.
INfo on material types for storage and processing. And some bd links in the reference section.
