Fuel Hose Replacement

I still have the stock fuel lines on my ALH and I have an air leak through the clear section. I really don't want to spend $100+ for OEM parts so....will diesel breakdown polyurethane? Or should I look at getting viton? I would like to replace the stock OEM lines with clear hose so I can see if bubbles do form. Where would the best place to purchase the clear hose from?

I will use this when my 200 dollar lines start to leak on my bew. But it would be fun to look at the bubbles with a section of poly.

I'm pretty sure you can get clear diesel rated hose.

This is the fuel line that I was going to order if everyone agrees diesel will breakdown the polyurethane and that the clear hose was a bad idea. I would just like to have the ability to see the fuel to make sure there is no air bubbles in the fuel.

8mm = 5/16th inch

5/16th inch i.d. low pressure fuel line is plentiful and cheap. I've found it for less than a dollar a foot.

So much for the clear line idea. I just went to the local parts store and got file line.
