I've been pulling my hair trying to figure out the long coding for my mirrors.

Similar to the 4 tail light mod, I'd like to code my mirrors so when parking lights/full position is turned on, they slightly have power (50% or less), and when turn signal is called for have them blink full power.

Any ideas?
Seems what I try is wrong, as nothing changes, and vcds is still listing everything German.

soo use mirror turn signals as sort of running light/DLR?

Yeah I haven't heard of that, and I'm not seeing the draw. Vortex may have more VCDS goodies

Yes. I've noticed it on other vehicles.

Figured why not?

I can think of two ways to figure out which lights they are:

1: Pull an Adaptations Map of your BCM and read through the lines until your find the correct Leuchte number. I haven't looked, but they may be called something like Aussenspiegel.

2: Go on Vortex or GolfMK7.com and ask DV52 if he knows the number to look for.

I have a pdf he made about MK7 lighting, but it doesn't mention the mirror lights at all. It would seem odd if they were different than the other lights on the car though.

This is not a coding option on Volkswagens.
