I realize that the lower grill vents being low is not an ideal location, but are there any Projector/Xenon/LED lighting solutions that fit in the lower grill location? Something that throws light further down the road?

geometrically impossible( too low ) to do that without also throwing it into oncoming. besides, you don't want to block the IC entry...

Hella made a set (I'm guessing for just standard H3 halogen bulbs) for the Golf, and longtime member @tongsli had a set the he'd said were a reasonable facsimile for Jetta.
