I have a 2006 Jetta with about 50K miles or 88K kilometers. the car was smashed lightly in the front and sat around for about 6 months outside. I have been driving it since fixing it for about 3 months now.
The car works great but I have three main problems all showing as faults when I scan. see below.
1.I replaced the MAF with a new one but still have the check engine light code.I also checked the EGR and could not see any noticeable problem.
I thought I had found the problem with a clamp on the air intake that was not in place but the same code returned after 25 miles or so.
2.I do not have my fans working and it appears that power is not coming to them. Harness is fine coming into the fans. Problem seems to be on the other side of the plug near the battery.
3. My other question is the code 01314 which is an engine control module fault. The ASR light ison all the time. I did flicker off on one drive but stayed on after a while.the ross tech site says "To clear this Fault Code you will need to correct the Problem in the Engine Control Module". How do you correct this type of problem?
I am wondering if these problems are related like a wiring issue?
