2003 jetta wagon tdi question

I am assuming that this one also has a 01M transmission?

Im trying to locate a Automatic transmission valve body rebuild that goes into the jetta tdi wagon, but most say not for 2003 jetta tdi wagon.. what gives...

Trying to locate this for a coworker.

former '04 Beetle TDI, now 2x '15 Audi Q5 TDI's, 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4 6.7
RevMax in Charlotte NC can rebuild it for you. They bore out the valve body and replace with SS barrels and pistons and new harness with solenoids.

Well what I'm seeing the 03 wagon has a different version of the 01m that's made in Germany not in Mexico. The ones I see for sale online say Jetta 99-04 8th digit m wagon 04-06 non TDI noting about being compatible with 99-03 wagon. The 01m sedan transmission is not the same 01m that's on the 03 wagon made in two different countries and factories

The wagons all came from Germany. 04-06 used a Jatco transmission. Your 03 is VW.

By the way, as I understand it, the VW ALH automatic is a good unit for it's intended purpose, which is to be mated to a gas engine, but can't cope with the torque of a diesel.

Not nessasarily. Friends '02 (?) Jetta 2.0 with the regretful 01M didn't make it to 100k.
