Alternator... ABA alt on MK4 TDI ALH?

Hi,

I'm installing a TDI ALH into my MK2 Jetta.

When I bought my TDI, there was a MK3 ABA (2.0L 8V) alternator on the engine.

Could I use it?

Also, what's the DFM on the alternator? On a MK3 TD, there's the exciter (blue) and the RPM (red) and on the MK4, it's a DFM signal instead of the RPM. Is it the same signal?

I bought a MK4 1.8T alt.

The MK3 ABA alt is like the 1.9TD's alt

W signal no DFM.

I'm not sure about the 1.8T alternator because of the DFM. Do the 1.8T alternators have the DFM signal instead of the W?

Me think mk4. >2< uses the same Alt. ( not the 1.8t)

It's the same part bumber on Altrom!

I think its lower output! just fyi... IF I get a chance this weekend I will check the 2slow and the alh I got in the yard
