I just discovered rust forming and paint bubbling underneath the hood at the rear (above the firewall) underside edge seam on both the left and right sides. The warranty seems only to cover "rust through" conditions which I do not think I have. I can see the rust, but it hasn't eaten all the way through the sheet metal. Anyone else having this problem? I don't want to ignore this. Any home remedies, aside from a session at a body shop?

Same issue here also. I've been meaning to stop by the dealer to see if they would cover it or not. Ive read some dealers have and some haven't covered the hood replacement . All I can say is give them a try before you pay for it yourself.

Go get some FluidFilm (sold in gallons or spray can) and soak the area. Especially inside any cavities. This stuff is incredible and will stop the rust in it's tracks. I've used it for years.
