Hey guys,
Been a long time but we’re back in the TDI family with a 2015 Passat SEL with 24k miles. Great deal until we had the dash light up with ESP, ABS, steering and airbag lights. The only code was 287, rear wheel speed sensor, malfunction in circuit. Went the easy route and replaced the sensor, cleared faults but it’s immediatley back.

Put the VCDS on it and sure enough there is no speed showing in measuring blocks for that wheel. So... where to go from here? Where’s the ABS module so I can ohm out the circuit? Any other common places where this wiring runs that is prone to damage?

I don’t think it’s a wheel bearing problem at 24k miles, and doubt that would cause the 287 fault. What am I missing?
