I drive a 2000 AT TDI with pp520's and a tune from Kerma. Tune is mid to heavy smoke under heavy acceleration. Doing some runs tonight and i noticed a choke around 3500 rpm's. The tach gets to around 3500 moves down to about 3400 then revs back up again after about a half second delay, at WOT. doesn't happen in first or 4th, sometimes in 2nd, mostly in 3rd. Insights?

Could this have anything to do with the autotragic gear selector box? That's where my money is at least...

03... Faster than yours =]
That sounds like the torque converter lockup coming on.. Normal condition.. They'll do it while completely stock too. As it comes on, the rpm's will drop slightly as it engages which takes about a second..

Seems to me like the TC wouldn't lock up under WOT. But now that i think about it that makes sense, that damn TC is annoying, should have gone with the 5spd
