need headlight switch for b4

help,
anybody have an idea were i can find a headlight switch for a glx with the fog light option for my b4 passat. not finding any on vw parts sites online. To basic for car-parts.com and not looking to spend alot.

Have been looking on ebay and will continue.
Also hoping someone can give me a guick lesson on removing the old switch and installing the new one.

Place a thin screwdriver in between the top edge near the vent and carefully pry it out, it will come fairly easy. Carefull not to mar the finish of the housing. The new one just pushes in.

There are two part numbers for a 95 Passat GLX/VR6 headlight switch, 3A1-941-531-J, and 3A1-941-531-M. I do not know what the difference is between the 'J' and 'M' parts.

Google 3A1-941-531-J. One of your top hits will be Impex, ~$148.

Three suffixes, actually
J: 1995 model, No DRL, three position switch with Off, or Park, or On
M: 1996 model, DRL, two position switch with Off (DRL with all parking, side marker, plate, and instrument lamps also on), and On.
N: 1997 model, DRL, two position switch with Off (DRL headlight only), and On

So what is the part number (or suffix) for the Euro switch with 3 positions and f/r fogs?

That I don't know. My ETKa has US market parts listing only.

Try searching EBay.de with 3A1-941-531, and no suffix. See what pops up.

I don't know the number of positions but I can provide B4 Euro part numbers for left hand drive vehicles. 1996 is listed showing production dates of 10/93-12/96. "-01C" is the color code for black which is the only option. Actually 1997 was a split year in Europe, so this covers all the 97 B4s in Europe too.
