injector misfire code detected?

Hi folks, tdiclub virgin seeks help. well the story is
I've been working on a b5.5 passat (pd 130) I keep getting a misfire code via vag-com @ number 3 cylinder, everything is fine compression wise. I've tried swapping the unit injectors around but still the same misfire #3 detected! checked the adjustments on the rockers for the injector travel. cam fine, lifters fine. what else could it be? any ideas anyone.

Thank you very much mikica for your help and advice. I didn't think I was going to get a reply, it seems to have worked. is this a common fault to be aware of on pd's? so your a vw tech are you, could sure do with some guys like you in the uk. it's like trying to break the official secret's act asking the dealers anything round here.

That is a common problem for Pds but as you see it is a quick fix.As for the dealers it is a same story allover.
