Default ALH timing with non-VCDS scanner

i have did the timing belt on wifey's car last week and checked timing with snap-on MODIS and i just was hoping someone could explain the numbers it used... it doesnt use graph like VCDS.

The MODIS has what it calls "TDI dynamic timing tool" and it goes as follows:

First it asks you to verify that the car starts and idles.

Then asks if the car is up to operating temp and idling at approx 950rpm. (her car idles at ~900, if it matters)

you confirm again and it shows this:

Upper limit 77 ATDC
Actual value 75
Target value 57
Lower limit 37

so i assume that means i would be "at the top of the graph" on VCDS as is recommended but i wanted confirmation that snap-on's setup wasnt inverted for some reason. Hoping someone can fill me in on what these numbers mean so i know im actually at the right spot on the (non-existent) graph.

I don't think the numbers you will get matter much, because when you graph the timing w/VCDS you first put the car into basic mode, which takes the ECU adjustments out of the picture. So unless you can do the basic mode, the timing numbers you get will be with the ECU making timing adjustments.
So many things affect timing.

Note: The above is to the best of my knowledge- but at the end of the day simply interweb opinion, worth EXACTLY what you paid for it, and if used done so at your own risk.
