Vag-Com Compatible head units

I did a search but I didn’t find any good threads on this. I want to put in an aftermarket head unit but I don’t want to loose any vag-com functionality.

Is there a thread with a list of the most compatible head units which won’t cause any complications. Maybe I should look on vortex.

This is from a non-expert, but may help......
There is only one line, the K-line, to be concerned about. And the only issue there is that the +12V on the line should not be connected to ground! As I understand it, you can use any head unit by simply not connecting the K-line to the radio.
