Too bad you limited it to motorized 2 wheels. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of non-motorized cycle riders here. Not being snobbish but that was my hope when I saw your thread. ;)

Whenever it's not raining I commute to work on my 08 Yamaha v-star 650. Bundling up today to ride it in on the coldest day of the year! Water pump is out in the truck...

2 wheeled rider here! I have a 1964 Harley Davidson DuoGlide (Panhead). She stays mostly in the garage but comes out for vintage bike nites and vintage flat track races in Wauseon, OH. She's a cruiser not a racer. I had a 2007 Street Glide but my wife and I totaled it on our honeymoon!

I have 2. A 2007 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic and a 2009 Buell Ulysses XB12XT. The 2007 has 62K on her and I will be replacing her or adding a 3rd one this summer. Depends on finances and job situation. Would like to keep her, as there is nothing wrong with her. I want a new 2015 or 2016 Roadglide. I do a lot of overnight long distance touring

Love my Buell. I call this my hot rod bagger.

Honda C100 (50cc Supercub from early 60s - the original "nicest people" bike - my wife's actually)
Kaw KL250G (Super Sherpa - probably the only bike I have never been ticketed while riding)
Yam TT500 - my original ice racer from the 70s
Kaw KLR650 (727cc, prototype/testbed for "Sound of Singles" road race engine)
Kaw KLR650 (on way to being a 705 with highly modded chassis)
Kaw Concours 1000 (If I ever get it together, my first ever bagger/tourer)
Zuk GSXR 1000 - will become donor for DSR project some day

Have been riding just over 50 years now, raced for much of the first two decades.

Will buy a lighter 650 for dirt some day - KLRs are more for do everything than do it hard in the dirt. If I ever get rich, I will add a Vincent to the lot.

Not in the same class as most of these. I have an 02 Suzuki GZ250, you know the one you used for your training course. I bought it new in 03 for $2500. It now has about 15,000 miles on it and has needed very little. A few mods and it does 75 or 80 with a tail wind and 70MPG all day long. I could never accept having a motorcycle that got worse mileage than my car.

I currently have a 74 honda CL200 that I don't have time to ride much anymore, it will probably be for sale in the spring. I've always had old Hondas. Formerly - 77 cb550, 72 cb350, 71 cl350, and a cafe 76 cj360. I also have 2 yamaha LB80 chappy's, and for a couple of summers I had a Suzuki drz400s with a couple of huge pelican boxes mounted on a custom built rack. That was before child, when I had dreams of doing some adventure riding. Most of the time my adventures were just to work and back. For me, It's getting harder to justify owning a bike- there's no room for a car seat!
As far as diesel bikes go, I have seen a couple of hacked together rat bikes at local shows, using an old military generator motor and a hatz pull start. Never seen anything I'd ride faster than my chappy!

I've had a few, tried different types of bikes until I knew what I liked the best
The picture above is a few years old and the bike is sold, but it was a great bike, might get another one day.
Below is my most recent bike, it was fun too but a road bike wasn't for me. Tried that earlier with a Kawasaki ZX-6E but had forgotten that when I bought this:

almost forgot: on the diesel bike thing: I put my request in when the first HDT announcement of possible civil version the the military KLR would be available, and again on the second one, but never of course got a bike. We have a customer account in Hesparia, so have been close enough to see them, but only at distance. Never was invited inside. I have heard of some guys getting them surplus (I think the UK sold some of theirs, rumored that the USMC let a few go surplus) but never seen in person.

HDT sold the rights to develop the engine to a company in India (Altius) and it keeps showing up here and there - pretty much exactly as HDT built them, but I can not seem to FIND them anywhere. Will bring an engine over on a trip to India, IF we can find the company and IF they have any production. I have seen diesel Enfields in India, but never ridden one - have no desire to ride ANYTHING in Hyderabad traffic!!!!!
