So my car has started a kind of rattle/chirping noise when the A/C is on. It stops when I turn off the AC button and starts when I turn it back on. It goes away on SOME revving. I’m thinking it’s the wheel on the a/c compressor. Sound seems to be coming from that area. I can’t seem to find much searching the inter webs on this, but does anyone know if the wheel itself is changeable? Or would the whole compressor need to be changed?
The A/C works great. There’s just an annoying sound. I’m thinking it’s not the actual compressor because it will go away on some revs or when the rpm’s are higher. If it’s just the wheel and I can change just that then that’s something I can do. If it’s the whole compressor then I’ll need to get it to a shop.
