Fellas,
I have a 2013 Jetta sport wagon TDI.
I’ve noticed over the past several months that when I push the button to start the car it doesn’t always start right away. Sometimes I have to press the button a couple of times before it starts.
I still have the original battery in the car and haven’t tested it yet. But I’m guessing it must have something to do with the switch inside the push start button.
I googled it and found some other thread where someone actually took it apart and cleaned the contacts. Seems like it was a complicated procedure.
My question is is this a common problem as the vehicle gets older?
Is it easy to replace the entire assembly? And how do you do it?
Thanks for any helpful advice!
