After owning my 2011 VW CC CR170 DSG, its time to upgrade for more power. I will be very happy with anything around 250 BHP. At the moment, I am runing stage 1 remap by kinetic tuning and I guess I am running around 190 but not sure as haven't put it on rollers yet.

I am new to TDI tuning so need experts advise about the best way to achieve it.

Thanks

Is that all I need? A bigger turbo and high pressure fuel pump?

Yeah, pretty much. Plus the tune obviously, and an all aluminum intercooler would be a good idea.

One thing I forgot to ask, do I need to change exhaust as well as I don't want running around in a drone.

Yup, a 2.5"'-3" or metric equivalent exhaust would be best. Put a good resonator or two on to take care of drone.

I was searching over web for GTB2260VK and came across this:

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.u...-actuator.html

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.u...ines-2011.html

Now as I am new to diesel tuning, I am not sure about pricing. Can you guys shed some light what should I expect to pay for turbo i.e. 875 or full kit for 2,000. Is this fair amount to pay?

Thanks

I would say so, you definitely get what you pay for through Ryan and his guys...I'm looking forward to seeing your results! Darkside TDI products are my favorite out there!

You have a few options
used GTB 3-400 euro , 100 new actuator+ adjustment fee
500€ for tubular mainfold nicely done
400€ for full exhaust 3"
or you can go the easy way buy a new 100% BOLT ON GTB for 850-1000, you skip the tubular mainfold this way, setup already proven ok on different ocasions for 282-284hp in Italy

big front mounted IC is the best option and cost is ridiculous
find yourself a damn good tuner in order to have a custome tune and you might see 3xx, worst case scenario 280hp if ..

if 250hp are enough just buy the upgraded BV43 from UK, costs around 750 if i recall correctly

I am thinking to do stage 2 custom remap with dpf removed and egr off. The figure I have been quoted 210bhp and 500nm. Now my question is how much torque can stock DSG handle before it starts slipping.

Thanks

I was searching through different forums and came across that I should get DSG remap first before going for stage 2 remap. What are your thoughts?

stock dsg is ok for 450Nm for sure. you only need a remap if you are going to push it to more with big turbo, if not, you can save the money.

I see in your profile you are running Leon at 217hp. What are your torque figures, and what mods are you running?

Revo stage 2 dpf off.
now i run same software with upgraded everything: big turbo, tubular mainfold, big fmic, 76mm full exhaust and its much better than before
new software to come next month after new head swap + injectors + pump
, aiming at 320hp on CR engine
