When will model year 2019 Passats be available?

I want to opt for the buy out and buy a new 2018 Passat, but my wife doesn't like the feel of the SEL. When will model year 2019 Passats be available for purchase? Does anyone know if there will be much difference between the 2018 and 2019 models? Thanks.
