Drivers Side Mirror

I’ve got a 2005.5 VW TDI. Someone took out my drivers side mirror and I am wondering if this is something I can replace on my own. I am a little handy but not a mechanic, and any repair would be made on the street in NYC.
Any thoughts?

You can replace it on your own. It will require disassembly of the door in order to replace the entire mirror assembly. It might not be that bad if you have photos of the actual damage. For instance, if only the glass mirror is broken, that's easy and takes very little time. If it is the whole mirror, that is more complicated.
