push button start acting up

Anyone else having an issue with the push button start on their GSW? I need to push hard and a number of times to start or turn off the car. I've seen one write up to take out the switch and clean the contacts, but it's not clear how to take this button from the center counsel

Golfmk7 or vortex may have a DIY, i'd suggest looking for one there.

It was pretty common on mk6 and first gen Kessy cars after a certain time.

Funny- I just started to notice this in my car also...I hope some can post a DIY...

Mine did the same so had it replaced under warranty but I remember reading a forum post about a cure by taking the switch apart and cleaning it

For MK6 with push button on column. MK7, gotta figure out how to remove button on the console without breaking anything.
