Difference between Intake Regulating Flap between BEW, BRM and BHW

Intake Regulating Flap differences between BEW, BRM and BHW

Hi there.
So... I have an '05 Passat TDI that needs a the Intake Regulating Flap replaced. I am replacing it with a used one. My local euro used parts place had one from an 2005 Jetta with the BEW engine. The part number is 038128063O. Physically I can not see why it wouldn't work... the mounting holes are in the same position, the plug is in the same position and is the same shape with same number of contacts. The diameter of the hole where the flap is located, is of the same diameter. Are these Intake Regulating Flaps the same and if not what makes them different between between the BEW, BRW and BHW engines?
My Intake Regulating Flap has the part number 03G128063V

I can't answer your questions, but is it possible the 8 is a G in the third character? (Or vice versa) That would be the same part number for both, except for the last letter which is used to note revisions to existing part numbers. i.e., E is new revision to D, etc.

O to V is six revisions, which seems like a lot. But just thinking aloud, so to speak.
