dsg bucking

Dsg downshifting into 1st at 18Kmh. does anybody else have this happen to them. this is happening all the time. not sure if its normal or not. i know if i was driving a manual transmision i wouldn't be shifting into 1st unless i was completely stopped. doesn't matter if im in S mode, auto or manual.

Not normal, no. The 02E DSG generally only uses 1st gear from a stand still.

I would ask the M-unit if it has any DTCs.

Curious did you get the "fix"?

Our DSG box actually shifts much better after the update. Sounds like an issue, as Oilhammer suggests scan it.
