Rough idle

I have a 5 speed tdi. When I put my foot on the clutch and put the car in 1st gear it starts to idle rough. Now my foot is still on the clutch. When I let off it drives fine. After driving it for a bit it doesn't completely go away but it is much less noticeable. Any of you guys experience this??

Does this happen when the vehicle is moving or just stationary? Do you have any codes?

Just stationary. I had some codes but I changed the maf and the glow plug relay and they never came back. Also as I said it kinda goes away after driving a bit. Also it doesn't happen in nuetral.

Have you ever tried to run diesel purge through the pump?it kind of sounds like the injector balance is hunting a little due to a dirty pump. If you have VCDS you can check the balance. Had a manual car do the same thing, intermittent rough idle only stationary, but drove fine and smoothed out after raising the RPMs.

I will try the purge!!
