door handle cable

Hello All, Any info on how to replace door handle cable on a 11 golf. It broke over the winter and I've had my fill of opening the door from the passengers side.

Had to do it on our '01 once, but yours is, most likely, a completely different animal.

lots of info here. search for people replacing door lock actuators. probably not broken just disconnected.

on my '10 Jetta, the outer door panel comes off with the screws around the edges. A plastic plug in the door jam gives access to a screw on a sliding sleeve that disconnects the door handle from the door panel. its actually easier than it sounds and only takes a few minutes the 2nd time you do it.
