Slightly different version of the FM 87.7 problem

I have seen a bunch of posts about a problem where if you shut the car off while the radio is on FM, next time you start it tunes to 87.7. This is happening to me now, but before that the radio would display 87.7, but still play the previous station I had been listening to.

So it's probably the same issue, but the symptoms changed. So just wanted to throw that out there for posterity.

Is there a confirmed fix, or just one of those things where they install the latest patch and hope for the best? (Kinda sounds like MS Windows ) I'll save it for my next service visit anyway.

You are correct, still the same issue. I had both occur (play same station, or try to play 87.7 station) at different times before getting the fix at the dealer. Thankfully the service writer knew exactly what I was talking about when I went in for the emissions fix.
