Well, my post-fix 2013 TDI Jetta with a manual transmission had ongoing issues cruising at ~1800 rpm for months. It would hesitate and sputter. It was worse when warm and better when cool outside. I'm not the only TDI driver with this issue, in fact I had a woman complain about it right next to me during my last visit to the service desk. After several days with the dealer throwing parts at it and producing 30 pages of service notes going back and forth with VW, they couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I traded it for a 2014 DSG TDI with the same miles. The 2014 runs great and has some extra features I didn't have on my car like a backup camera and electric seats. Anyone else bail on their manual TDI post-fix like me?

Enjoy your new ride. Backup camera is one of those “duh, right?” advances that you wonder how you lived without before.

2013 Jetta TDI Highline Manual w/ Nav
Interesting. I have the Manual 2013 Jetta. Got my fix almost 2 months ago and 4000 kms (2500 miles). Can't say I have noticed any difference in how it drives. Did your problems occur right away, or after some time?

I have a back up camera, so it must have come with the trim level (Highline).

I haven't decided whether to bail on my TDI, but I don't think I can lose the manual transmission. I've thought about moving from a 2011 to a 2015 for the more efficient engine, better chassis and availability of DAP stuff, but it hasn't been in the cards. (yet)

I have 2010 Jetta with MT and in the process of doing the buyback . I just bought 2015 Jetta TDI with DSG and so far it seems it runs smoother than my 2010 and have more power from 2500 to 3500 rpm. Manual transmission is something I will miss, but DSG is also fun to drive. In addition, 2015 is more efficient and quieter running engine.

It goes to show they are all a little different. My '12 6MT TDI showed some of that freeway surging behavior before the fix and none since. Saw a nice '15 6MT on the dealer's lot today, (back for another Takata recall) but the seats in the '15 aren't as much to my liking as the '12s.
