new winter set up with TPMS Sensors for my GSW
My new 2015 GSW 6mt doesn't have TPMS sensors on the factory 16" wheels, however I just picked up a set of 17" VW wheels from a recalled tdi that is being crushed that has the TPMS sensors already on the rims. Is there any way to activate the TPMS through VCDS on my car when it didn't come from the factory with that option?
The wheels I picked up are 17" with Hankkok I Pikes - VW part # 1K0601025AE - I think they are called Avignon. I see the ET is 54. I thought it should be 49 for 17"? Anyone know if that is going to cause a problem? I believe the wheels came off a 2012 jetta sedan or wagon...not sure.
BTW - one of our local yards are crushing a couple of trailers of TDI's per week. The only thing they can take off the car are the wheels and batteries, then they go straight into the crusher. I saw 8 cars getting crushed today while I was picking through 100's of sets of rims.....
