Has anybody heard of a swap a TDI swap into an allroad?? I’ve been seeing high millage allroads around for 12K or less and have been thinking about a swap. I’ve been reading with interest CaddyTD’s A4 thread and have been thinking about doing the same with an allroad.
The only thing is I’m thinking that 2.5 TDI that comes standard with the diesel allroad might be a little underpowered. So I have a couple of questions for those in the know…
Is it possible to jump to the 3.0, the 4.0, or the 4.2 in an allroad without having large electrical headaches ala running 2 computers etc.?
I’m assuming that the 3.0 will fit on the 2.5’s motor mounts (the A4 offered both in the B6) but are there mounts for the 4.0 or the 4.2? (Like maybe mounts from the gasser 4.2??)
