Snow Tire Question

We just traded in our 2003 Jetta Wagon TDI for a 2012 A3 TDI. Fun little car!!

I kept a near band new set of snow tires, p195/65r15. I found some 15x6.5" 5x112 steel wheel, but before I get them I want to make sure that there isn't any reason this would not work? From what I can find on-line (and verified with measurement) is that there is minimal difference in overall diameter.

check the front brake size.

if it's 312mm diameter, then you need 16" minimum

Is that a specification that would be in the manual or do I have to measure it? Wife has car today, I can check this evening. Thanks for the reply.

try calling the audi dealership.

If your spare tyre is 16" then it more than likely wont work. If its 15" then you know it will, but I would do as Indigo suggests and call the dealer.

Try calling Tire Rack (see tirerack.com to get number).

You will need 16's. The 15's will work in back but won't clear the front. I used 195/60R16's on a set of 5x114 ebay rims with wobble bolts.
